Enable your Child to be Profiled for Sought-After Professions During High School

An education system that does not follow the needs of modern society does not introduce children to modern and sought-after professions. This reduces their ability to adequately orient themselves when choosing a future profession.

The social-linguistic course of Gimnazija Tvrđava was created in cooperation with prestigious companies with the aim of introducing children to the world of the most sought-after jobs in the field of social sciences.

An Accredited High School that Develops Successful, Satisfied, and Capable Young People

Gimnazija Tvrđava is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, and provides children with recognized diplomas and the same status as if they had completed a state high school.
Preparation for Prestigious World Faculties

The main mission of the school is to provide children with a strong theoretical and practical basis for continuing their education at the best faculties in Serbia and abroad.

Develops Entrepreneurial and Transferable Skills

The modern labor market is changing rapidly, changing the set of competencies, knowledge, and skills that young people need for a successful professional and personal life. Gimnazija Tvrđava develops transferable skills in children, which will enable them to adapt to the changing labor market, and to mature into versatile and self-initiative personalities.

Nurtures Emotional and Social Development

It is known that the current educational system pays little attention to the social and emotional development of children, which is why young people do not have mechanisms for coping with stress, crisis situations, and the abilities necessary for successful coping in the modern labor market. Through the education of staff in the social-linguistic course, Gimnazija Tvrđava pays special attention to the development of critical thinking, creativity, leadership skills, encouraging internal motivation, as well as successful management of emotions and functioning in a team.

Builds Financial Literacy and Skills Needed for Life in the 21st Century

One of the biggest shortcomings of formal education is the absence of education on financial management and other skills necessary for coping in everyday life. The responsibility of the educational system is not only to teach children how to earn money, but also how to dispose of it, how to manage their finances responsibly and efficiently.

A Modern Learning Model that Prepares for the Jobs of the Future

The founders of Gimnazija Tvrđava are excellent experts in the field of education and the business sector, who, based on their expertise and many years of experience, have created a unique school that provides children with ideal conditions to achieve their maximum potential:

Interactive Teaching with the most Modern Equipment

Gimnazija Tvrđava is equipped with the latest technology that fully supports modern educational approaches. Each student has their own tablet and their own desk, which allows children to work independently, in pairs, or in groups. Thanks to the flexible furniture, the classroom layout is easily changed and adapted to the needs of each class.

All classrooms are equipped with an interactive whiteboard or a large-diagonal LED television, which, according to our experience so far, is a favorite tool for both students and teachers. Unlike the stress caused by being called to the board in traditional schooling, our students can’t wait to show what they have learned through interesting quizzes and games on the interactive whiteboard.

The class begins with an introductory introduction to the topic of the class, through interesting video materials or workshops. With carefully designed guidance, teachers encourage student activity through a series of interesting educational games. This method of teaching contributes to better memory and the construction of lasting knowledge, so most of the material is mastered in school, instead of dry learning by heart at home.

Adaptive Learning Model

When creating classes and enrolling students, care is taken to ensure that all students have approximate prior knowledge and abilities, but the method of teaching, lecturing, and testing is adapted to each individual child, that is, an adaptive learning model is applied.

In practice, this means that the same teaching unit is processed differently, adapting to the personality of each student and their learning style. This enables each student to achieve the set educational goals at their own pace, learning in a way that suits them best.

Adaptivni modul učenja

Development of Entrepreneurial Skills and Summer Camps

In addition to acquiring knowledge provided by the plan and program, students of Gimnazija Tvrđava have the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and numerous training courses during their schooling. We cooperate with various organizations such as AIESEC, UNESCO and the UN, through whose programs our interested students acquire skills that they would otherwise not acquire through regular schooling.

The aim of these trainings is to introduce students to the opportunities offered by non-formal education that is focused on the development of soft and entrepreneurial skills, which will be useful to them regardless of their later chosen profession.

Safe School Environment in the Center of Novi Sad

Gimnazija Tvrđava is located in the center of Novi Sad, at 7 Jevrejska Street, on the site of the old Ballet School. The school pays special attention to the safety of students, so a psychological assessment of each child is carried out during enrollment, in order to create classes in which there is a positive and friendly atmosphere.

During their stay at school, students are surrounded by a team of experts who have excellent pedagogical and psychological knowledge.

Optimalan broj učenika

Optimal Number of Students in the Class

Every year, the social-linguistic course enrolls one class of 16-20 students. Our many years of experience in working with children has shown that this is an ideal number, because it allows us to easily apply any form of teaching, and to organize work in pairs, groups, or individually. In the case of a large number of quality candidates, the maximum number of enrolled students is 20.

Professional and Proven Teaching Staff

Gimnazija Tvrđava pays special attention to the selection of quality teaching staff, and the only criteria are expertise in their field, experience, and pedagogical competencies.

Our teachers are excellent pedagogues and experts who constantly invest in their further training. Part of our teaching staff also works in other prestigious schools (Gimnazija J.J. Zmaj, Gimnazija Isidora Sekulić, Karlovačka gimnazija) as well as assistants at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

Children get Their Own Tablet and all the Necessary Learning Materials

Upon enrollment, all children receive their own tablet, backpack, textbooks, notebooks, and all the necessary materials for work, which remain theirs even after completing their education at Gimnazija Tvrđava. During their schooling, children use the tablet for their own needs and take it home if they wish.

Extracurricular Activities and Workshops

Gimnazija Tvrđava organizes a large number of extracurricular activities and workshops thanks to the excellent cooperation with the IT community and numerous youth organizations, such as AIESEC, UNICEF, and the UN. Such activities provide children with the opportunity to meet and socialize with other talented and valuable children from the country and abroad, to build acquaintances and expand their network of contacts already in high school.

Criteria for Enrollment in Gimnazija Tvrđava

In order to provide a safe and stimulating environment for every enrolled child, the pedagogical-psychological team of Gimnazija Tvrđava has determined the criteria for enrollment. A mandatory part of the enrollment procedure is a psychological assessment of the child and an interview. In this way, the possibility of the appearance of “problematic behavior” is reduced, and classes are created in which there is a positive and friendly atmosphere.

For children who pass the school’s assessment, the school organizes an entrance exam in February (first enrollment period) and in June, two to three weeks before the exams in state schools (second enrollment period). Children who have achieved outstanding success in primary school, pass the initial psychological testing and interview, and show outstanding knowledge do not take the entrance exam.

Call us without any obligation and find out more about the school and whether your child meets the enrollment requirements.

Our Mission is to Prepare Children for the Future!

The Number of Places is Limited Because We Enroll Only 16-20 Students per Year
